Professional Development

The HCEMEC provides Professional Development several times each year for members to enrich their teaching practice, as well as positively impact the students' musical education. Through the Professional Development chairperson, HCEMEC plans and coordinates trainings for elementary music teachers by contracting and scheduling presenters and promotes the professional development events to the Council membership. Past presenters have included many talented teachers from right here in Hillsborough County as well as well-known music educators such as Dr. Scott Edgar, Katie Grace Miller, Dr. Robert Amchin, Paul Corbiere, Lillie H. Feierabend & John Feierabend to name a few.
